Abstract
Damage to membrane or protein will result to inflammation of various part of human body as skin, throat, lungs, joint, and another body parts. So membrane stabilizing and protein denaturation inhibition can prevent the occurrence of inflammation. This research purpose is to analize the compound of ciplukan that have membrane stabilizing and protein denaturation inhibition activity. In this research, ciplukan extracted with ethanol then fractionated with mixture of gradient solvent between n-hexane, ethyl acetate, ethanol, and water to various fraction. From fraction H has been obtained crystal H that appear naturally. Extract, fractions, and crystal H is tested membrane stabilizing and protein denaturation inhibition activity in vitro. Crystal H is characterized with IR spectrophotometry and H-NMR spectrometry. The result of this research is extract, fraction F, G, H, and crystal H of ciplukan have membrane stabilizing and protein denaturation inhibition activity that can prevent the occurrence of inflammation. From characterization of crystal H can fathomed the compound is myricetin-3-O-neohesperidoside fram myricetin family. Keywords : Membrane stabilizing, protein denaturation, inflammation, ciplukan, Physalis angulata Linn.
