Abstract

Typhoid fever is a disease caused by the bacterium Salmonella typhii. There is an increase in the incidence of typhoid fever each year. Management of typhoid fever therapy with antibiotics and typhoid fever therapy success depends on careful use of antibiotics. The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of the use of antibiotics in adult patients with typhoid fever inpatient Hospital RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo in 2017. This type of research is a qualitative research method observational (nonexperimental) by the retrospective nature of the study. The population used is typhoid fever in child patients hospitalized in the Hospital RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo. The sampling method is done by purposive sampling method. Sample criteria were patients aged 0-11 years and patients with a diagnosis of typhoid fever without comorbidities. The results by comparing the standard Kepmenkes 2014 and Clinical Pathways. Antibiotics are used in patients with typhoid fever inpatient Hospital RSUD Ir. Soekarno Sukoharjo is cefotaksim 57,4%, ceftriaxone 8,5%, kloramfenicol 8,5 respectively and combinations of antibiotic 25,6%. The rate of result us of antibiotic based on indication is 47 patients (100 %), result medicine given is 44 patients (93,6%), precise dose given is 27 patients (53,2%), and result durations of drug administration is 27 patients (57,6).evaluation results of antibiotic efficacy in typhoid fever patients is 100%.
