Abstract

Areca palm sids (Areca catechu L.) have power element for medication, arecolin, flavonoid, and tanin. This experiment know toxination subchronic extract etanol areca palm sids high level ALT, AST and skets histopathology at white rats galur wistar. Using method extract to mesure the etanol 70%, in this was experiment use 60 piece of animal white rats than devide by 6 group include control group. Satelite dosage experiment, every group with 10 piece of white rats, wich 5 piece of famale with rats, 5 piece of male white rats. In 28 days experiment, will continue in 14 days again. The prove data from the power of T0, T28 and next 14 days. All in search histopathology organ heart. Data resoult ALT and AST analist using One Way Anova, Two Way Anova, LSD and cound of percentage histopathology cell normal and cell wiht necrosis. Experiment resoult show with extract etanol areca palm sids in oral 28 days on dosage 34,2 mg/kg BB did not have any efects toxic, but dosage 1500 mg/kg BB and 2000 mg/kg BB have efects to the organ hepar of white rats. Looking from the parameter histopathology and organ hepar with rat can make reparation partikel which show from search power ALT and AST levels include parameter histopathology on working satellite.
