Abstract

Inflammation is an important mechanicm for protection of the body from attack by invading organisms. Inflammatory agents include physical, chemical, immunological reaction and infection by organism pathogenic. Moringa leaf it has contents of flavonoid, saponin, polifenol and tannin. The previous research moringa leaf have anti-inflammatory so it need developed in the form of a cream which for pratical in application. This research at knowing the cream preparation which had been made a good physical quality, to knowing the antiiflammatory effect ethanol extract cream of moringa oleifera leaf and to knowing the effective concentration of ethanol extract cream of Moringa leaf as anti-inflammatory. The method used was maseration with the 70% ethanol. The formulated cream of extract moringa oleifera. Lam leaf were made with three concentrations each of 6%, 12%, 24%. The physical test on cream such as homogenity, stability test, organoleptic cream, test the pH, spreadability, stickability, cream type. Test the antiinflammatory effect was conducted on 25 rats were divided into 5 groups: control group cream base (-) voltaren emulgel control group (+), concentration group of 6%, concentration group of 12% and 24% concentration group. The results showed that ethanol extract cream of Moringa leaf (Moringa oleifera. Lam) have physical quality a good, have anti-inflammatory effects with effective concentration of 12% with % antiinflammatory power is of 66,84%.
