Abstract
Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is an infection that is characterized by the growth and proliferation of bacteria in the urinary tract, which is highly recommended the use of antibiotics for infections caused by bacteria. Antibiotic resistance is a common problem, and will be dangerous when an antibiotic is not sensitive to treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the sensitivity of the bacteria Klebsiella sp. to the antibiotic amikacin, ciprofloxacin, imipenem, and ceftriaxone. Klebsiella sp. bacterium was isolated from the urine of patients in Dr. Moewardi using Mac Conkey Agar, that was then identified microscopically and biochemially. The sensitivity test was conducted to find out the resistibility of each antibiotics and to find out the sensitivity pattern of antibiotics against Klebsiella sp. bacterium. The data of antibiotic resistibility diameter was processed using Kruskall Wallis test. The result of research showed that out of 30 samples, 23 samples contained Klebsiella sp. Antibiotic amikacin 95.65% sensitive and 4.35% resistant, antibiotic ciprofloxacin 73.91% sensitive; 17.39% resistant; 4.35% moderate and 4.35% intermediate, antibiotic imipenem 100% sensitive, as well as the antibiotic ceftriaxone 60.87% sensitive; 21.74% moderate; 13.04% resistant and 4.35% intermediate to Klebsiella sp. bacterium. Imipenem is an antibiotic that is most sensitive to Klebsiella sp. of the patient’s urine urinary tract infection in RSUD Dr. Moewardi. __________________________________________________________________ Keywords: urinary tract infection, Klebsiella sp., antibiotic
