Abstract
Femoral neck fracture is a type of fracture that can greatly affect the quality of human life. Indirect violence is the main cause such as jumping and falling. Researcher have propose to know about the class, type, and suitability of the use of antibiotic prophylaxis and therapy for surgery patient of femoral neck fracture by hospital formulary and guideline in the Inpatient installation of Orthopaedic Hospital Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta 2015. This is a descriptive study with data collection in retropektif on 50 Medical Records surgery patient of femoral neck fracture who received antibiotic prophylaxis and antibiotic therapy. Researcher got data showing that this class of antibiotic used first generation cephalosporin is cefazolin as prophylaxis in surgery as much as (100%) and antibiotic therapy cefadroxil as much as (92%) and ciprofloxazin as much as (8%). The rationale for the use of antibiotic prophylaxis and therapy using formulary hospital, Dipiro and PerMenkes seen by the right, right medicine, right patient and the exact dosage as big as 100%. The medicine used in the study have appropriated accordance with the hospital formulary, Dipiro and PerMenkes. Keyword: Antibiotic, femurol neck frakture, prophylaxis, therapy
