Abstract
Drug management in hospital is one of important hospital management especially in the procurement and availability stages. Inefficiency can induce bad condition on hospital, both medically and economically. This study was conducted to describe procurement of drugs for public patients in RSUD Surakarta. These stages were chosen because of the success of the drug procurement will greatly determine the quality of the service at the Pharmacy Installation of Hospital. This study was conducted by a descriptive observational design using retrospective and concurrent analysis. Qualitative and quantitative data was obtained as well as interview data from relevance department. Efficiency in all of drug management stages were measured using indicators from WHO, Megarumi, and Health Department, then compared with the the best result of different researches. The result at the drug procurement in RSUD Surakarta using the financial resources BLUD and APBD. The results analysis drug procurement shows the percentage of conformity of a drug with planning the fact for each drugs on APBD funds is 107 % and the BLUD is 100 %, the percentage of APBD funds is 19,51 % and the percentage BLUD funds is 39,15%, the frequency error invoice twice a year, frequency of the procurement of each drug items 6 times/ year by 80,20%, 14 times/ year by 26,53% and 16 times/ year by 5,8%, the frequency rate of delayed in payment by the hospital to the time agreed was 22,01 days. On stage the drug availability, all indicators have not been with the results of the percentage of comformity items with drug formulary DOEN is 21,1 %, the percenrage of the use of generic drugs is 97,3 %, the percentage of drug expired is 5,8 %, the percentage of the use of drug formularies in the list FORNAS is 57,7 %.
