Abstract

The children’s growth and development are the qualification of quilted human resources that will decide the nation future state development. Growth and development of the children can be detected earlier by using the KPSP form, but it is still done manually, so it will less effective and efficient, including in determined the decisions. Based on that condition, this study is aim to design a system detection for child’s growth and development using expert systems with the forward chaining method. Expert system is a system that adopted the human knowledge (expert) which imitated in a computer program to solve problems that usually require human the expertise. Imitation process or manual transformation to computer or digital with android based using App Inventor tools, checking using black box and UAT (User Acceptance Test). The investigation about child’s growth and development symptoms using Forward Chaining method which the results would be matched with the expert’s rule, so it will give the result of child’s growth and development, whether the result is appropriate, doubt or irregularities and the follow-up related to the results of the test. The results of checking the user interface using a black box are appropriate; it means that the system runs appropriate with the designer’s plan. From the UAT test obtained 54.5% of respondents answered the application is good / easy / appropriate / clear, so it means that the android application can be accepted in the society.
