Abstract
PMKP Krai is an industry engaged in the refining of eucalyptus oil. From the data collected it is known that in 2016 and 2017 there were 161 accidents. The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of work accidents and reduce the level of workplace accidents in the PMKP Krai company using the HIRA method. In this study, using the HIRA analysis, it is known that the possibility of accidents with very high risk levels is pinched hands, broken bones, and blisters. From the fishbone diagram analysis, it is known that the causes of accidents that have occurred are undisciplined, tired, hurried, non-standard boots, unsuitable gloves, crane straps swaying, slippery, tools not suitable and the work area is rarely cleaned. The results of the proposed improvements are making inspection sheets, making SOPs and using personal protective equipment. In the calculation of the standard time before being given a proposal and after being given a proposal has a difference in the time of production and the amount of production. The standard time after the proposed improvement becomes reduced and production after repair has increased. In the process of making briquettes 5%. In the briquette arrangement process 18%. In the combustion process 38%. In the 37% sack arrangement process. In the 18% sack transfer process. In the distillation process 19%. Eucalyptus oil production has increased by 10%.
