Abstract

Home industry "Krupuk Gatot" is one of the small industries in the Sragen region that produces white eggplant crackers and yellow eggplant crackers. From the observations made to find out various kinds of problems in the work system, whether material handling materials are easily damaged, and other workplace accidents. The purpose of this study is to make appropriate improvements with the WISH program (Improving Work for Home Safety) so that the home industry condition of "Krupuk Gatot" is safer and more comfortable. The WISH program is a guide issued by the ILO (International Labor Organization) to take corrective actions in the home scale industry. Recommendations for improvements consisting of equal distribution of lines, maintenance of material handling equipment, provision of hand washing facilities, regular cleaning of toilets, provision of first aid kits and medicines, training of workers on emergency care and care, use of personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves and long clothes, tidying up the power cord and checking the cables for regular peeling. Next, a sign test is conducted to find out the values implemented. Test results show the significance value of each question valued at 5 0.05, then H₀ is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means the difference between before and after repair. Sign measurement results also show that nutritional improvement is positive. Key words : Work system improvement, WISH programme, Sign test
