Abstract
Milk is an appropriate bacterial growth and development. The existance of bacteria in milk causes damage and endanger human health. The aimed of this study is to know the amount of ALT and coliform and to know the existence of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella sp. on milk. This research used 5 samples of fresh cow's milk from different breeders in Sukabumi area, Cepogo sub-district, Boyolali district. Each milk sample was tested for microbiology. Microbiological testing conducted are ALT, MPN, and to determine the existence of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella sp. in milk using isolation of sample on selective media and biochemical tests. The results of this study indicated that all samples of fresh cow's milk does not eligible with specified requirements of SNI 7388-2009. The number of ALT for sample A through sample E is 1,9 × 107; 1,9 × 107; 1,8 × 107; 1,8 × 107; and 1,7 × 107 CFU/ml. The number of coliforms in all samples is >1100 MPN/ml. All samples were contaminated Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, while the samples were contaminated with Salmonella sp. are samples A, B and C. Keywords: Cow's milk, ALT, MPN, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella sp
