Abstract

The research is important for hospitals, because word of mouth communication is an effective communication for consumers and services. Word of mouth communication involves sharing opinions about experiences that have been felt. Word of mouth communication is a communication that has the power to influence others. The research aimed the effects of positive word of mouth communication. Positive word of mouth communication can be interpreted as someone positive words about a service, will increase the customer coming service provider. The research was conducted with survey design. The population in the research were patients of Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Sukoharjo. 200 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by structural equation model. The results of the research indicate that hospital image had significant influence toward the patient trust, hospital image had significant influence to the patient satisfaction. Patient trust had significant influence to the word of mouth and patient satisfaction had significant influence to the word of mouth.
