Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an infectious disease caused by dengue virus. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is a disease with a high number of cases and high mortality, so there is a need for precision therapy to suppress the morbidity rate. One aspect relating to it is the rationality of its use. The research aims to obtain a description of the rationality of the use of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever medicine in pediatric patients in Inpatient Installation at dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri hospital 2016. This is non experimental research. The research used retospective sampling to collected the data the analysed by using descriptive analysis. The sampling technique was purposive sampling.There were 141 medical records. The study was conducted by evaluating the rationale of drug use based on precise indications, the exact patient, the exact drug, and the exact dose. Data obtained compared to Hospital Formulary, Basic Guidelines for Dengue Hemorrhagic Treatment Therapy published by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in 2004 and National Guidelines for Clinical Management of Dengue Fever in 2015. The results showed the use of Dengue Hemorrhagic drugs are 87.54% antipyretic analgesic and 100% maintenance fluid, route of antipyretic analgesic drug that is parenteral 95,74% and maintenance fluid that is parenteral 100%. Evaluation of the use of Dengue Hemorrhagic medication to know for correct indication 100%, appropriate analgesic antipyretic dosage 86,52% and maintenance fluid 14,89%, appropriate analgesic antipyretic drug 87,94% and maintenance fluid 100%, appropriate patient 100%.
