Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a metabolic disorder characterized by high sugar levels. Increasing the number of DM patients shows health problems that need special attention in health services in the community. This study aims to determine the description of therapy and the accuracy of drug delivery type 2 DM in inpatient installation at Regional Hospital dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso period January - December 2017. This research uses non experimental descriptive method with retrospective data collection. The study was conducted by looking at the description of the use of antidiabetes and analyzing it using the guidelines of Consensus Control and Prevention of Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 in Indonesia (PERKENI 2015), Practical Guidelines for Insulin Therapy in Diabetes Mellitus Patients (PAPDI 2011), and American Diabetes Association Guideline (ADA 2017). The results of 89 patients receiving antidiabetes included (64.05%) single drug and (35.95%) combination. Single drugs include sulfonylurea (1.12%), biguanid (7.86%), and insulin (55.07%). Insulin is the most widely used insulin short acting is novorapid (32.58%). Antidiabetic treatment in patients with type 2 diabetes is 100% according to FRS in Regional Hospital dr. Soediran Mangun Sumarso. Rationality based on PERKENI 2015 is 100% precise indication, 100% right medicine, 98,88% right patient, 23,60% right dose. Based on 100% precise ADA indication, 100% proper medicine, 98.88% exact patient, 100% right dose. Based on PAPDI 2011 71.91% exact dose.
