Abstract
Diabetes melitus (DM) is a chronic condition that occurs because the body can not produce insulin normally or insulin can not work effectively. The aim of this research is to know the combination of leaf matoa and soursop leaves can give the effect of antidiabetic decrease in alloxan-induced male white rats and to know the concentration of matoa leaf extract and soursop leaf are effective as antidiabetes in male white rats using alloxan induction. Matoa leaves and soursop leaves were extracted by maceration method with 96% ethanol. Tests were performed on 40 rats divided into 8 groups that is normal group, negative control, positive control, soursop leaf extract 50 mg/kg BB, matoa leaf extract 100 mg/kg BB, combination of matoa : soursop (25:75), combination of matoa : Soursop (50:50), combination of matoa : soursop (75:25). In this study measured blood glucose levels in mice using the method of glucose oxidase (GOD-PAP). The results showed the combination of ethanol extract of leaves of matoa and soursop can lower blood glucose levels in male white rats. The dose of matoa leaf extract and soursop leaf most effective in lowering blood glucose levels is combination of matoa : soursop (75:25). Keywords: Blood glucose, combination extract of matoa leaf and soursop leaf, alloxan induction.
