Abstract

Swamedication is the act of treating all complaints to yourself with over-the-counter medicines in pharmacies or drug stores on their own initiative without a prescription. Swamedikasi is usually done to overcome complaints of minor ailments such as salesma, cough, flu, headache and throat, stomach pain, back or muscle pain constantly. The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the consumer factors to the pharmacist services partially and simultaneously. Consumers who perform swamedikasi action at pharmacies Tanggung Sehat Tulungagung regency which is still relatively new and many people who do not know about the role of a pharmacist (pharmacist) in a pharmacy. This research is a non experimental research with descriptive design. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Samples used in this study as many as 252 consumers who do direct swamedikasi at pharmacy Tanggung Sehat. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires. Based on this research can be concluded that the factors of expensive medical expenses, ease of treatment, consumer interest, information from other parties, the availability of new drugs and advertising messages partially and simultaneously affect consumers take swamedication action and and the percentage of consumer influence performing swamedication action in the pharmacy Tanggung Sehat Tulungagung the factors expensive medical costs, ease of treatment, the speed of getting drugs, information from other parties, the availability of new drugs and the advertising message is 70.1%.
