Abstract
Nephrolisis can increase the condition of oxidative stress so the body is unable to fight free radicals and trigger cell damage. One of the plant material a source of antioxidants is a mango leaves (Mangifera indica L). The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of calcium oxalate decay and increased activity of SOD enzyme and decrease of MDA and to see the histopathology of renal. This study consisted of 9 groups each 4 male white rats wistar line aged 1.5-2.5 months with body weight 150-250 g. Normal group, negative control (male white rats induced 0.75% ethylenglycol solution and 1% ammonium chloride), preventive group with extract doses of 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg BW, a positive control curative group (batugin elixir), dose extracts of 100, 200 and 400 mg/kg BW. Performed testing of SOD and MDA enzyme activity with ANOVA an renal histopathology. The results showed that ethanol extract of mango leaves arum manis as nephrolytic and preventing the formation of calcium oxalate and dose 400 mg/kg BW mouse is the best dose of activity. Doses of 400 mg/ kg BW also showed the best dosage in increasing SOD enzyme activity and decreasing MDA levels and to improve damaged kidney condition. Keywords: sweet mango leaves, calcium oxalate activity, oxidative stress improvement
