Abstract

Fruits morinda and papaya leaves was medicinal plants wich contained alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid, and antrakuinon which had high antioxidant activity anda potential as a hepatoprotective. This experiment was conducted to determined the effect of extract fruit morinda anda papaya leaves on rate of SGPT and SGOT and to determined doses effective syrup extract fruits morinda and papaya leaves as a hepatoprotective in male rats wistar were induced CCl4. This study used 25 male wistar white rats wich were devided into five groups. All group was induced CCl4 0,047 ml/200 g BB. Groups I as a negative control, groups II as a positive control were given a curcuma 3,6 mg/200 g BB, group III, IV, V as the treatment group were given syrup extract fruits morinda and papaya leaves 3,357mg/200g BB and 20,16mg/200g BB, dose 6,6714mg/200g BB and 40,32mg/200g BB, dose 10,071mg/200g BB and 60,48mg/200g BB. All group were treated daily for 8 days. On days 9 all group given induced CCl4.all groups on day 0 and 10 were declared SGPT and SGOT. The results obtained then were analyzed by One Way Anova. The result of experiment showed that syrup combination extract fruits morinda 6,714 mg/200g BB and papaya leaves 40,32 mg/200g BB can significantly decrease the activity in SGPT and SGOt rates, and able to inhibit the cell necrosis liver in male rats wistar strain were induced CCl4. The dose of syrup extract fruits morinda and papaya leaves was most effective 6,714 mg/200 g BB and 40,32 mg/200 g BB because as comparable to the positive control.
