Abstract

Dyslipidemia is a condition increased levels of total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides or low levels of HDL. This study aims to find out the dosage extracts and dry extracts of dayak onion to decrease total cholesterol and triglyceride levels, at what dose can lower cholesterol levels and the effect of dry extract preparations with aerosil filler material in the blood serum of mice. This study used 35 rats weight 150-200 grams. All groups were fed a high-fat diet than the normal group. Rats were divided into 7 groups: normal control, negative control (CMC 0.5%), positive control (simvastatin), and variations extract dose of 40 mg / 200 g body weight and 80 mg / 200 g BB rat, preparation of dry extract equivalent dose of 40 mg / 200 g body weight and 80 mg / 200 g BB rats. The entire rat checked total cholesterol and triglycerides before treatment, namely on 0th and after induction at 14th and at testing the extract at 21st and 28th days. The analysis used in this study Two Way ANOVA. The results in this study showed that extracts and preparations dry extracts can lower total cholesterol and triglyceride levels with doses of dry extract dosage equivalent dose of 80 mg. Preparations dry extract with a filler material aerosil affect the decline in total cholesterol and triglycerides. Key words : dry extract preparation, dayak onion, total cholesterol, trigliserides
