Abstract

Today the community has realized the importance of maintaining the health of self and family. Most people just try to self-medicate rather than go to the doctor to perform outpatient. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of consumers in taking self-medication action in the Kaliyoso drugstore Karanganyar partially and simultaneously. The sampling method was purposive sampling to 287 respondents using independent variable of of treatment, the speed of getting the drug, advertising messages, information from other parties, consumer interest and the availability of new drugs. Data obtained by distributing questionnaires directly to the respondents, then the data were analyzed with SPSS version 17.0. It can be concluded that the partial cost of treatment, advertising messages, consumer interest, the availability of new drugs and speed of getting the drug partially significantly influence consumer decision swamedikasi action, while information from the other party does not significantly influence the consumer's decision to take action self-medication in the Kaliyoso drugstore Karanganyar. Simultaneously all independent variables significantly influence consumer decisions in self-medication action in the Kaliyoso drugstore Karanganyar and patient satisfaction can be determined from the independent variable at 53.8%.
