Abstract

The infection caused by Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) is an Indonesian public health problem. Worm infection is classified as neglected disease, which is a less noticeable infection and the disease is chronic in the absence of clear clinical symptoms and the impact is only seen in long-term speci fi c species such as Ascaris lumbricoides, Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus, Trichuris trichiura. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an infectious relationship caused by Soil Transmitte Helminths intestinal nematodes with Personal Hygiene on garbage collectors at TPA Sukosari Jumantono Karanganyar 2018 and what is the percentage of infections caused by intestinal group Nematoa Soil Transmitted Helminths with Personal Hygiene on officers at the garbage collector at TPA Sukosari Jumantono Karanganyar. This research used the direct method of tau natif by using Eosin and lugol reagents, carried out on 30 garbage collectors, in the laboratory 7 Setia Budi University Surakarta. Data analysis methods used were Bivariate and Univariate Statistics. The results showed 26 samples (86.7%) negative and 4 samples (13.3%) positive. Type of worm eggs found Ascaris lumbricoides 2 samples (6.7%), filariform larvae1 sample (3.3%), eggs Hookworm 1 sample (3.3%). There is a Relation of Nematode Intestine Testing of STH and Personal Hygiene Groups to Garbage Workers at TPA Sukosari Jumantono Karanganyar.
