Abstract

The number of stroke survivors in Indonesia from year to year continues to increase in line with lifestyle changes community. Antiplatelet is one of the therapies used in the treatment of ischemic stroke therapy. The use of antiplatelet recommended to reduce or prevent the incidence of recurrent stroke. The goal is to describe the use of antiplatelet agents in patients with ischemic stroke in the Inpatient Hospital Dr. Harjono Ponorogo 2015 and suitability of use of antiplatelet agents in patients with ischemic stroke in the Inpatient Hospital Dr. Harjono Ponorogo 2015 with the formulary hospital, Standards of Medical Services Hospital Dr. Harjono Ponorogo, and guidelines according to WHO (AHA/ASA). This research is a descriptive non experimental with retrospective data collection from medical records of hospitals Dr.Harjono Ponorogo 2015. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method. Evaluation of data is done by recording data on drug antiplatelet at the Hospital Inpatient Dr.Harjono Ponorogo in 2015, then grouped by profiles that include the percentage of patients age, gender, length of stay, type of financing, drug characteristics and proper evaluation indication, right drug, right dose, right patient. Antiplatelet drugs used ischemic stroke patients was aspirin at 100%. The use of antiplatelet drugs ischemic stroke patients are used for therapy in the Inpatient Hospital Dr. Harjono Ponorogo in accordance with the WHO (AHA/ASA), Formulary and Standards of Medical Hospital Dr. Harjono Ponorogo.
