Abstract
Every bus company must have employees with a high work ethic so that it will maintain a high level of job satisfaction as well. Work ethics is a part that need to be considered by the company to improve the quality of human resources performance that will culminate in satisfactory work so that will emerge job satisfaction. This study is look for a correlation between work ethic and job satisfaction of employees. Subjects in this study were 60 employees of PT. Rosalia Indah Transport of various divisions or offices. Measuring instrument used to measure the work ethic is the Multidimensional Work Ethic Profile (MWEP), and Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) to measure job satisfaction. Based on the research results, it shows the value of variable correlation = 0.371 with p = 0.004 (p <0.01). These results show that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted, that there is a positive relationship between the perception of the work ethic and job satisfaction. The higher the work ethic of the employee’s, their job satisfaction will be higher. Conversely, the lower the work ethic, the employee satisfaction will also be lower.
