Abstract
Diabetes is a degenerative chronic disease, nevertheless the blood sugar levels can be stabilized into normal. High glucose levels stimulate the formation of glycogen from glucose , fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis of glucose . High blood glucose levels can accelerate the formation of triglycerides in the liver. Long-term blood glucose control can be done by glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) check. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between blood glucose levels and triglyceride levels in the patients with controlled and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus. This research is an observational study with cross sectional approach. From the test results are to be obtained p value or significance value of 0.805> 0.005, which means there is no relationship between blood glucose levels with triglyceride levels in patients with type 2 diabetes uncontrolled and uncontrollable. See the results, it can be concluded that there was no correlation between blood glucose levels with levels of triglycerides Key words: Diabetes Mellitus Type 2, HbA1c, triglycerides
