Abstract

Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a metabolic disorder was characterized by high blood glucose levels or insulin resistance. The study aims was determined the rationality of drugs administrated on type 2 diabetes mellitus patients in Ward Installation of Panti Waluyo Hospital of Surakarta in 2014. The method was used in this research is non-experimental descriptive. The data was obtained retrospectively from medical records of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients. The data includes of age, sex, administrated drug, doses, and the treatment duration. The data were obtained as many as 108 patients then grouped based on indication, and then analyzed by comparing to the PERKENI 2006. The study results showed that the evaluation of administrated drugs on type 2 diabetes mellitus patient in Ward Installation of Panti Waluyo Hospital of Surakarta in 2014 with the indication are the accuracy of parameters, drug, patient and dose can be stated that the evaluation percentage of indication accuracy is 100%, drugs accuracy is 100%, patients accuracy is 100% and dose accuracy is 100%.
