Abstract

Hypertension is a disease whose prevalence increases with age. Hypertension is characterized by elevated systolic and diastolic blood pressure persisting at 140/90 mmHg. Patients with hypertension in Indonesia is estimated to reach 15 million people, while only 4% are controlled hypertension, it means the rest is uncontrolled hypertension risking hypertension with complications. In 2012 hypertension is ranked the 9th leading cause of death in Indonesia. The purpose of this study to determine the most widely used drugs as antihypertensive in Inpatient Installation RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen in 2017. The study was conducted by using non-experimental descriptive method, by retrospective data sampling of 36 patients and then analyzed the conformity of prescribing antihypertensive medication to Hospital Formulary and JNC VII. Conducted by looking at records of medical records of patients with hypertension in RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen. The results showed that the most widely used antihypertensive drug prescribed was Amlodopin (52.2%). Compliance of antihypertensive drug prescribing to Hospital Formulary 100% and adjustment of prescribing of antihypertensive medication in hypertension patient at Inpatient Installation of RSUD dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Sragen in 2017 against JNC VII 100%. Keywords: Hypertension, Prescribing, Hospital Formulary, JNC VII
