Abstract

Unwise use of antibiotics can lead to bacterial resistance to antibiotics, may increase toxicity, and drug side effects.Research on the use of antibiotics minor outpatient surgery patients is aimed to determine differences in the use of antibiotics in minor outpatient surgery patients in hospitals Surakarta in 2012 and 2013 by using the ATC / DDD. The study was a retrospective descriptive retrieve patient data from a minor surgical outpatient medical record data. The study population is an antibiotic that is used in minor outpatient surgery patients. Engineering samples are used a total of sampling, data analysis using the ATC / DDD. Results showed that antibiotic use in 2012 and 2013 were Ciprofloxasin, Cefadroxil, Amoxicillin and Cefixim. Antibiotics are entering the realm of DU90% in 2012 is Ciprofloxasin and Amoxicillin, in 2013 was Ciprofloxasin and Cefadroxil. The conclusion of this study is that there is little difference in the use of antibiotics in minor outpatient surgery patients in hospitals Surakarta in 2012 and 2013. And antibiotics used are in accordance with the hospital formulary. Keywords: Antibiotics, Minor Surgery, ATC/DDD, DU90%.
