Abstract

Bilimbi plants (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) is a medicinal plant whose leaves can be useful to cure various diseases. This study aims to determine the teabag of leaves bilimbi as abdominal fat weight-loss and weight loss in female white Wistar rats, and determine the most effective dose as a decrease in abdominal fat weight and weight loss. Study using laboratory animals female white Wistar rats of weight 150200 g, age 2-3 months. 30 rats were divided into 5 groups. The first group with xenical ® 2.16 mg/200 g BB rats , group II with aquadest 60 ml/200 g BB rats, group III bilimbi teabag dose of 5.0 mg/200 g BB rats, group IV bilimbi teabag dose of 10.0 mg/200 g BB rats, group V bilimbi teabag dose of 20.0 mg/200 g BB rats. All preparations administered orally. The treatment carried out for 30 days and see leftover food and weight loss at the same time. after 30 days of test animals anesthetized abdominalnya dissected for collection of fat. The results showed that all three treatment groups had the effect of weight and abdominal fat weight loss on white male Wistar rats, while the most effective weight-abdominal fat and weight loss starfruit leaf teabag at a dose of 5.0 mg/200 g BB.
