Abstract

Anemia is a health problem in the world nowadays. One of the reasons of Anemia is Iron deficiency. This is especially attack the vulnerable ones like children, youngsters, pregnant women and low class incomer. For the last 25 years there are many proofs that lack of Iron will broadly influence students’ achievements and working productivities. Many researchers find out that there are interrelationships of Iron deficiency in children with their ability to study, their intellectual, and their behavior changing. This research is done to see if there is a correlation of hemoglobin and feritin level with students of class XI of SMAN 5 Surakarta’s achievement. The research is done by using cross sectional with explanative design in Mei 2014 for 45 samples. From the fisher exact test, it is found P 0,002<0,05, meaning there is a significant relationship between hemoglobin (Hb) and feritin serum level with students’ achievement.
