Abstract
Diabetes mellitusis a metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia associated with abnormalities in carbohydrate metabolism, caused by adecrease in insulin secretion orde creased insulin sensitivity, or both and cause chronic microvascular and macrovascular complications, one of which hypertension. The purpose of this study is to determine the drug usage in the diabetes mellitus type 2 patients with hypertension in Outpatient Istallation of Sukoharjo Hospital in 2012 and determine the suitability of antidiabetic drugs which given to diabetes mallitus type 2 patients with hypertension comorbidities in Outpatient Installation of Sukoharjo Hospital in 2012 is appropriate based on PERKENI 2011. This study used secondary data, i.e the data was retrieved from surveillance of patiens medical record. The results were obtained 97 cases with diagnose of diabetes type 2 with hypertension comorbidities in Outpatient Installation of Sukoharjo Hospital in 2012 retrospectively. The results of were data collection then analyzed by descriptive non-experimental. The results showed that antidiabetic which most absorbed was combination of antidiabetic and antihypertensive drug which prescribed are sulfonilurea + biguanid + ACE Inhibitor class was 36,1%. For the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 in accordance with Endocrinology Society of Indonesia (PERKENI) 2011. Keywords : Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Sukoharjo Hospital
