Abstract

WHO prescribing patterns corresponding indicator. WHO indicators include the average number of drug per prescription sheet, the percentage of generic prescriptions, the percentage of antibiotic prescriptions, and the percentage of injection drug prescribing. This study aimed to determine the pattern of prescribing in pharmacy Vishva Mitra Yogyakarta period July to December 2011 include the average number of drug per prescription sheet, the percentage of generic prescriptions, the percentage of antibiotic prescriptions, and the percentage of injection drug prescribing. This research is a descriptive analysis of data retrieval retrospectively. Data obtained from the total sample recipes and recipes that have not been served a copy of another pharmacy pharmacy Vishva Mitra entered in Yogyakarta period July to December 2011. The analysis is based on the number of items per sheet prescription drugs, the percentage of use of the drug by its generic name, the percentage of antibiotic use and the percentage of injection drug use were adjusted for the indicators that have been recommended by the WHO. The results obtained data that the average number of drug items per prescription sheet 2.95 item, the percentage of prescriptions with the generic name of 13.43%, the percentage of antibiotic prescriptions 5.98%, and the percentage of injection drug prescribing 0.30%. This suggests that the pattern of prescriptions in pharmacy Vishva Mitra Yogyakarta to the average number of drug items per prescription sheet and the percentage of prescriptions with generic name does not match the indicators that have been recommended by the WHO. and the percentage of prescriptions for antibiotics and the corresponding percentage of injection drug prescribing indicators that have been recommended by the WHO. _________________________________________________________________ Key words : Keywords: Patterns of prescribing, WHO indicator, recipe.
