Abstract
Urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that occurs due to the formation of bacteria colonies in the urinary tract. Ciprofloxacin, ceftriaxone, imipenem antibiotics still used as first choice drugs for this disease although often reported any sensitivity. Another option is amoxicillin clavucanic acid which its resitance also increased in Indonesia. The purpose of this study was to determine the sensitivity pattern from urine isolation results to amoxicillin clavulanat acid, ciprofloxacin, seftriaxone, and imipenem antibiotics against Escherichia coli. Urine sample of UTI patients were included into BHI medium and incubated for 24 hours and then were isolated to selective Endo Agar medium by scratches and were incubated at 370C for at least 24 hours. Escherichia coli was was treated with amoxicillin clavulanat acid, ciprofloxacin, seftriaxone and imipenem antibiotics by diffusion for antibiotic sensitivity test. Sensitivity pattern measured the presence or absence of zone compared to the Kirby-Beaur table. Data analysis by Kruskal-Wallis and T-Test methods. The research results of testing of sensitivity patterns of amoxicillinclavucanic acid, ciprofloxacin, cefriaxone, dan imipenem antibiotics against Escherichia coli bakteria isolation result ot UTI patient urine are resistance and susceptible. Antibiotic imipenem was most sensitive to Escherichia coli isolated. Keywords: Urinary tract infection, Escherichia coli, sensitivity test, anti
