Abstract
Obesity is a state of excessive fat accumulation in the fatty tissues, thus disrupting health. Obesity is often associated with impaired lipid parameters that are characterized by increased triglycerides and punurunan HDL cholesterol levels.Obesity is a category in body mass index. The body mass index is a measurement that demonstrates the relationship between weight and height.The purpose of the research is to know the difference in HDL cholesterol levels in the population of normoweight and obesity. This research is an analytical observational research with cross sectional (cut latitude) approaches and sampling non probability sampling with purposive sampling types.This research sample amounted to 30 people consisting of groups of normoweights and obese groups.Data obtained from this research first conducted a test of normality using Shapiro Wilk, then continued analysis of Independent Sample T-Test.The level of trust used is 95%. The test result of the Independent Sample T-Test shows the value of sig in the normoweight and obesity categories of sig = 0,000 (Sig < 0.05) which means there is a significant difference in the levels of HDL cholesterol in the population of normoweight and obesity.
