Abstract

Hospital is generally a health service infrastructure. One of the efforts conducted in a hospital is to provide sanitation service in which is regarding waste management. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of knowledge and behavior of health officers on the management of solid medical waste at Kasih Ibu hospital, Surakarta. In this study, respondents are mainly health officers of Kasih Ibu Hospital, Surakarta which particularly in the division of medical support installation with samples of 40 people. This research used total sampling methods such as data analysis with multiple regression analysis, t Test, F Test, determination coefficient R2 test, and classical assumption test. The results of the study indicated that knowledge has a positive effect on solid medical waste management with a value of significance is 0.001. Behavior has a positive effect on solid medical waste management with a value of significance is 0.001. Key words: management of solid medical waste, knowledge, behavior
