Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of innovation and market knowledge on the performance of product innovation in several micro businesses around the Surakarta area. To find out how much influence innovation and market knowledge have on the performance of product innovation. Data obtained through a questionnaire distributed to micro business owners in the Surakarta region. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a population of 60 micro-business owners. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that innovation has no significant effect on the performance of product innovation and shows that market knowledge has no significant effect on the performance of product innovation.
