Abstract
Diarrhea is a public health problem in developing countries such as in Indonesia. Many cases are reported each year and is estimated to be approximately 4-5 million people died of acute diarrhea. Diarrhea in Klaten Islamic Hospitals including the 10 biggest diseases, The research aims to know the rationality used the drug of acute diarrhea pediatric patient in Installation Klaten Islamic Hospital in 2017. The method in this research was a non-experimental descriptive with retrospective data collection from medical record of acute diarrhea pediatric patient. The data used are age, gender, drug use, dose and duration of the treatment. Data appropriated to the Kemenkes 2011 and WGO 2008 guideline. The results of the research the drugs that are used for therapy in acute diarrhea pediatric patient in the Inpatient Installation Klaten Islamic Hospital in 2017 is Kaen 3A (37.58%), Zinc (17.45%), Liprolac (26.85%) and antibiotics (18.12%). The results of the evaluation use of the drug in acute diarrhea pediatric patient parameters of right drug, right indications, right patient and right dose. Based on the Ministry of Health 2011 it can be concluded that the percentage of right drug evaluation is 100%, right indication is 100%, right patients is 100%, and right dose is 83.54%, and based on WGO 2008, evaluation of right drug is 90.51%, right indication 100% , right patient is 100% and right dose is 83.54%.
