Abstract
SLNs is one of the nanotechnology inovations developed in the early of 90’s, SLNs appears as an alternative carrier system for improved solubility and bioavalability. One of the compounds that have low bioavaibility is fisetin. Fisetin has a low solubility and low dissolution rate, so it can be made SLNs to increase solubility and bioavailability. Purpose of research to find out that fisetin can be made SLNs using lipid waxes with ultrasonication method, the characterization of SLNs fisetin and has strong antioxidant activity. SLNs fisetin is formulated with variations in apifil lipid concentration using the ultrasonication method. The selected SLNs fisetin formula was characterized by particle size, entraptment efficiency, potential zeta and stability during the storage process. Antioxidant activity of SLNs fisetin was carried out using the DPPH method. The results showed that fisetin can be prepared by SLNs waxes lipids with ultrasonication method. The characterization of fisetin SLNs produced nanometer particle size, entraptment efficiency of the best formula was 58.4% and the potential zeta value was -20.52 mV. SLNs fisetin is not stable during the storage process and the results of the antioxidant activity formulation of the fisetin SLNs are categorized as very strong with IC50 values of 28.842 ppm.
