Abstract

Soap is a cleaning tool that can remove impurities such as dust, sweat, and prevent infection by microorganisms. As a result of being lazy to clean your face is the appearance of pimples. One of the bacteria that causes skin infections in the form of acne is Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. The purpose of this study was to determine the inhibitory ability of some facial soap products against bacterial growth Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and know which facial washing soap best in inhibiting bacterial growth Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923. The method used is diffusion Kirbby Bauer, the sample used in the form of 3 types of facial soap products with variations concentrations of 50%, 25%, 10%, 5% and repeated 3 times. The parameters observed were the diameter of the inhibition zone. The results showed that from some facial cleansing products, the most effective in inhibiting bacterial growth Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 is a "Z" product with an average inhibition zone of 41.67 mm at a concentration of 50%, 39 mm at a concentration of 25% 33 mm, at a concentration of 10%, and 29.33 mm at a concentration of 5% due to "Z " contains Tea Tree Oil , and Triclosan.
