Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an increase in blood pressure above normal which results in morbidity and mortality. Hypertensive patients in outpatient Muntilan Hospital Magelang Regency continued to increase. What antihypertensive drugs are used for outpatient Muntilan Hospital Magelang Regency? Is the use of antihypertensive drugs outpatient at Muntilan Hospital in accordance with JNC 8 and Formulary applicable in Muntilan Hospital? This study is a non-experimental study with descriptive analytical methods and retrospective data collection using data on medical records of outpatients in Muntilan Hospital. Hypertension is a result of the major cause of stroke, heart disease, kidney disease and complications associated with a decrease in life expectancy, thus granting the right medicine can determine the success of therapy and decrease the number of morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this research is to know the description and appropriateness of the use of the anti-hypertension in the diagnosis of hypertension in outpatient HOSPITALS Muntilan in July until December 2018. Analysis of the rationality of therapy is done in this research include precise indications, the right dose of the right drug, and drug interactions. The type and design of the research is the research of observational with data retrieval in retrospective descriptive data are analyzed. Based on the results of the analysis of rationality of therapeutic drug use anti-hypertension in patients of hypertension, obtained results that is exactly 100%, an indication of the right drug, right dose 100% 100%, 52.5% drug interactions.
