Abstract
Well water is used as drinking water and other needs in human’s life and is vulnerable to being contaminated by waste and producing metal contaminants in the form of Pb, Zn, Cd, and Fe. Lead (Pb) is a heavy metal that can damage the brain namely epilepsy, hallucinations, damage to the cerebrum if it exceeds the maximum limit set. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of lead (Pb) and the effect of the distance of wells on lead (Pb) levels in well water around the landfill meeting the requirements or not according to PERMENKES RI No. 32 of 2017. This research uses the Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry method, where the sample must be wet destruction to obtain metal elements in the form of free atoms.Levels of heavy metal lead (Pb) are read at a wavelength of 283,3 nm. The four samples used are wells A, B, C, and D. The results showed that the four samples of well water around the Sukosari garbage disposal site Jumantono Karanganyar contained lead (Pb).Lead level (Pb) of 0,0038 mg / L (Well A); 0,0041 mg / L (Wells B); 0,0047 mg / L (Wells C) and 0,0048 mg / L (Wells D).Based on these levels the sample of well water exceed the threshold set in PERMENKES RI No. 32 of 2017 which is ≤0.05 mg / L.
