Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest megabiodiversity in the world. Community groups that use traditional medicinal herbs include the Samin tribe. The purpose of this research is to find out the ingredients of traditional medicine, how to use and use the level of confidence with ICF and UV values, and to know plants and animals that have treatment activities with literature studies. This research is a descriptive research type with qualitative methods. Determination of informants by snowball sampling method. Using survey methods and literature studies. Data of traditional medicine concoctions that have been obtained are then analyzed for UV (Use Value) and ICF (Informant Concensus Factor) values. Obtained 12 informants who knew and or used traditional medicinal herbs with interventions as many as 51 diseases, 133 traditional medicinal herbs, and 81 plant species. The majority of the women were boiled and pounded. Plant parts that are widely used are leaves. The results of the ICF and UV analysis as a whole can be grouped back into 16 categories of diseases with susceptible values between 0.7-1 and the results of UV analysis found 10 plants with vulnerable values between 0.66-1. Plants and animals that are used have activities as ingredients of traditional medicine. Keywords: Ethnopharmacy, Samin Tribe, medicinal herbs, traditional medicine
