Abstract

Cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta Crantz.) contain flavonoid sompounds, saponin and tanin are used as antibacterial. The purpose of this study is to knows the antibacterial and antibiofilm activity of ethanol exstract of Cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta Crantz) on Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175 and IC50 active from cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta Crantz) on Gram positif and Gram negatif. This research uses a combination of studies in experimental laboratories with literature studies in various journals. The method used to review journals is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Testing the antibacterial activity in the literature using disk diffusion and welling methods and testing the antibiofilm activity in the literature using microdilution. This study shows that cassava leaves (Manihot esculenta Crantz.) have antibacterial and antibiofilm activity on Streptococcus mutans ATCC 25175. The inhibitory value of antibacterial activity with disk diffusion method and killing value antibiofilm having IC50 value 50%.
