Abstract

Blush on is one of the cosmetics that serves to produce a thinner and fresher impression when applied to the face. Teak leaves contain anthocyanin compounds which are used as natural dyes and antioxidants in cosmetics. This study aims to determine the difference in the intensity of the physical quality of compact powder blush on teak leaf extract with various concentrations that have antioxidant activity. Teak leaf extract was obtained by maceration method. The preparations were made with various concentrations of teak leaf extract, namely 10%, 15%, and 20%. The physical quality test of this preparation was carried out by organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, crack test, and smear test. The safety test of this preparation was carried out by irritation test and preference test using hedonic test and antioxidant activity testing using DPPH . method The results showed that all of the formulas had organoleptic properties, homogeneity, compactness and greasing power that met the requirements, and stable pH. The safety test stated that all formulas did not cause irritation and the most preferred preparation with an extract content of 20% in F4. The IC50 values of teak leaf extract, vitamins C, F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 are 38.96 ppm, 18.71 ppm, 193.55 ppm, 104.60 ppm, 99.60 ppm, 94.49 ppm, 77.39 ppm and in F3 and F4 are included in the group powerful antioxidants.
