Abstract

Bipolar affective is a disorder characterized by mood changes between extreme pleasure and severe depression. This study was to find out the used of antipsychotic drugs in patients with bipolar affective disorder in the Inpatient of RSJD Surakarta in 2020, used of the drug can be monitored properly to improve the quality life of patients. The research of method is a non-experimental design descriptive observational. The data collected retrospectively by using secondary data from medical records of patients with inclusion criteria. Sampling techniques uses nonprobability sampling. It is a technique that does not give the opportunity or the same opportunities for every member of the population to be selected into the sample, the number of samples used 40 medical records of the patients. The results showed of 40 patients, the Type of antipsychotics are widely used Risperidon 57,50%. Olanzapine the least used 5%. The used of antipsichotics for bipolar disorder patients at RSJD Surakarta 2020 accordance with therapeutic guidelines and guide clinical practice of mental health. The results of research for right dose is 95% and right indication is 100%. Keywords : drug use study, bipolar affective disorder, antipsychotics.
