Abstract

Averrhoa bilimbi L is one of the plants that can be used as traditional medicine to increase urine output (diuretic). In the Averrhoa bilimbi L there are compounds containing alkaloids, flavonoids, and saponins. This aims of this study are to determine the diuretic effect of Averrhoa bilimbi L infusion and the effective dose of Averrhoa bilimbi L infusion in white male mice. A total of 25 experimental animal mice were divided into 5 groups, namely a negative control group (CMC suspension 0.5%), a positive control group (furosemide), an Averrhoa bilimbi L infusion group consentration 8%, an Averrhoa bilimbi L infusion group consentration 10%, infusion group of Averrhoa bilimbi L consentration 12%. Testing of the diuretic effect was carried out by looking at the volume of urine excreted for 24 hours. Daya analysis using the Kolmogrov Smirnov test followed by One Way ANOVA test. The results showed that the infusion of star fruit wuluh can have diuretic activity. At an infusion concentration of 8%, the diuretic activity was lower than the infusion concentration of 10%. The concentration of infusion of star fruit wuluh which is effective as a diuretic with a concentration of 12%.
