Abstract

Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L) is a plant that is efficacious as an analgesic. Some compounds contained in the plant mengkudu which is analgesic include scopoletin, flavonoids, proxeronine and xeronine. This research is intended to know the analgesic effect of the infusion of the leafs using the writing method. This research was conducted by infusing method with water solvent. The test animal consisted of 25 male white mice divided into 5 treatment groups. Group I as a negative group, group III as a positive control (acetal), while group III, IV, V as a test dose given infusion of leaves mengkudu this 1,250 mg /KgBB (Dose I), 2,500 mg /KgBB (Dose II), and 3,750 mg /KgBB (Dose III). All treatments are given per orally, after 30 minutes of acetic acid induced 1% as much as 0.1 ml /tail intraperitonially. The result is the number of geliat calculated every 5 minutes for 60 minutes. The amount of mice geliat is converted into a percentage of inhibitory geliat. The data obtained was statistically analyzed with Shapiro wilk, one-way Anova test and post hoc tests Tukey with a confidence level of 95%. The result showed that mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) leafs infusion had an analgetic effect on male white mice (Mus muculus). The larger the dose given, followed by the increase in analgesic effect. Keywords: Mengkudu, analgesic, infusion leafs mengkudu.
