Abstract

Selada (Lactuca sativa) merupakan sayuran yang sering ditemukan pada makanan yang dijual pada masyarakat yang dikonsumsi dalam kondisi mentah. Sayuran selada mentah dengan pencucian yang kurang bersih, dapat terkontaminasi bakteri dan menempelnya telur cacing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan jumlah larva dan telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminths dengan metode pengapungan NaCl jenuh dan pengendapan NaOH 0,2% pada selada di supermarket Surakarta. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dengan cara pemeriksaan larva dan telur cacing (Soil Transmitted Helminth) yang dilakukan pada selada. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan membandingkan perendaman sayuran selada menggunakan metode pengendapan dengan larutan NaOH 0,2% dan metode pengapungan dengan larutan NaCl jenuh terhadap identifikasi jumlah larva dan telur STH (Soil Transmitted Helminth). Pemeriksaan larva dan telur cacing STH menggunakan 6 sampel sayuran selada dari supermarket yang berbeda di Surakarta. Hasil pemeriksaan sampel sayuran selada yaitu tidak ditemukan larva dan telur Soil Transmitted Helminths pada semua sampel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil jumlah larva dan telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminths dengan metode pengapungan NaCl jenuh dan pengendapan NaOH 0,2% pada selada di supermarket Surakarta. Persentase kontaminasi larva dan telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminths sebesar 0%. Kata kunci : Soil Transmitted Helminths, pengapungan, pengendapan Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) is a vegetable that is often found in foods sold to the public that are consumed raw. Raw lettuce vegetables with washing that are not clean, can be contaminated with bacteria and stick worm eggs. This study aims to determine the difference in the number of larvae and eggs ofworms Soil Transmitted Helminths using saturated NaCl flotation method and 0.2% NaOH deposition on lettuce in Surakarta supermarket. The data collection technique used in this study was primary data by examining the larvae and eggs of worms (Soil Transmitted Helminth) on lettuce. The data analysis technique was carried out quantitatively by comparing the soaking of lettuce using the precipitation method with 0.2% NaOH solution and the floatation method with saturated NaCl solution on the identification of the number of larvae and eggs of STH (Soil Transmitted Helminth). Examination of larvae and eggs of STH worms using 6 samples of lettuce from different supermarkets in Surakarta. The results of the examination of lettuce samples were not found larvae and eggs of Soil Transmitted Helminths in all samples. The results of this study showed that there was no significant difference between the number of larvae and eggs ofworms Soil Transmitted Helminths using saturated NaCl floatation method and 0.2% NaOH deposition on lettuce in Surakarta supermarket. The percentage of contamination of larvae and eggs of Soil Transmitted Helminths was 0%. Keywords: Soil Transmitted Helminths, flotation, deposition
