Abstract
The waiting time indicator for prescription services is included in the hospital's minimum service standards. The existence of waiting time can lead to a sense of satisfaction in health services. This study aims to determine the waiting time for prescription services, incompatibility of pharmaceutical services, the causes of long waiting times for drug supply in hospital pharmacy installations through a literature study. This research method is a narrative review by collecting journals from various databases such as Google Scholar, Research gate, Pub Med, Perpurnas, SINTA. The journal criteria used are published in 2011-2021, full text available, Indonesian and International languages. The results of the literature study showed that the average waiting time for the provision of prescription drugs for non-concoction hospitals for class B was 40,13 minutes and for concoctions 59,65 minutes, for type C hospitals for providing non-concoction drugs for 24,90 minutes and 39,52 minutes for compounded drugs, while in hospitals whose class type is unknown, they get 30,71 minutes for prescription and non-combined drugs for 14,91 minutes. Inaccuracy of services and causes of long waiting times for services arise when screening drug prescriptions, hospitals dont implement applicable standard operating procedures, limited human resources, inadequate facilities and infrastructure.
