Abstract

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder disease characterized by high blood sugar levels. Impaired insulin production in pancreatic cells causes insulin resistance. The prevalence of DMT2 sufferers worldwide is 90-95% with the risk of sufferers over the age of 45 years. Pharmacological network-based methods are used as approaches that involve target compounds and proteins in pathways. The purpose of this study was to analyze molecular proteins that are predicted to have target protein interactions on the activity of the yakon plant compound (Smallanthus sonchifolius) which was mapped in the pharmacological network profile according pathway insulin resistance DMT2 Research uses web servers and software such as KNApSAck for compound collection. PubChem to determine the bioactivity of compounds. Data is downloaded in CSV and TSV file formats. The target protein obtained from the KEGG pathway validated using the website Uniprot. Strings are used to see interactions between proteins. Prediction of target protein with Swiss Target Prediction and SEA (Similarity Ensemble Approach). visualization network using Cytoscape to see interactions between nodes according to the pathway that is connected through borders and has a pharmacological profile in treating DM disease. Visualization network pharmacology shows the results of target proteins that are predicted to have interactions on the insulin resistance DMT2 pathway, namely INSR and EGFR. Enhydrin , chlorogenic acid, quercetin, caffeic acid, and ent-kaurenoic acid compounds contained in yakon leaves can form a network pharmacology by interacting with target proteins according to the KEGG pathway DMT2 insulin resistance.
