Abstract
Hypertension is a disease with a prevalence that increase along with the age of a person, and 90% of adult age with normal blood pressure will develop into level 1 hypertension. This study was aimed to evaluate the most widely antihypertension drug used in hypertension patient in Dr. Moewardi Hospital. The study was conducted by using secondary data collection method of antihypertension drug usage by saw the antihypertension drug usage record every month in Medical Record unit of Dr. Moewardi Hospital which started from January to July 2016. The data obtained were evaluated by descriptive method which non-experimental by taking data samples retrospectively. Results of data evaluation showed the most widely used of antihypertension drugs in hypertensive patients at Outpatient Installation of Dr. Moewardi Hospital was class of calcium antagonist i.e. amlodipine, with the percentage of amlodipine drug usage from January to July 2016 at Outpatient Installation of Dr. Moewardi Hospital was 64.8%.
